# Alias rewriting

What is the option "Alias rewriting"?

Aliases are linked to a **primary** email address but do not contain specific information about the person using that email address.

**Alias rewriting** ensures that every time the user with the **primary** email is changed, his aliases' data are changed too in Signitic.

## Go to the Connectors settings

To activate alias rewriting , go to **Settings >** [**Connectors**](https://signitic.app/settings/connectors).

You will find the option in Source connectors like **Microsoft 365** or **Google Workspace**.

⚠ **Note : This option is only available if you have aliases in Signitic.**
