Installation guide for Apple Mail

This guide is for users who want to use their Signitic signature on Apple Mail on their Mac.

1️⃣ Download the Signitic agent

Download the Signitic Agent by clicking the button below:

Attention : Several versions of the Signitic Agent are available. Make sure to choose the one that matches your machine.

2️⃣ Place Signitic.app

Place the Signitic.app application in the Applications folder.

3️⃣ Log in

Log in via Google, Office 365 or with your connection key.

4️⃣ Create a signature

WARNING: This may result in the deletion of your current signatures. Signitic will replace all signatures that contain your email.

Open Apple Mail and go to the menu: Mail > Settings > Signatures and create a signature by putting in the signature content your.email@mycompany.com as shown in the screenshot below. The goal here is to enter only your email address in the box, which will allow you to create a connection with the Signitic Agent.

5️⃣ Update your signature

Back in the Signitic client, update your signature by clicking the "Update" button at the bottom of your profile page.

6️⃣ If your signature does not update...

If the signature is not updated and/or the loading spins endlessly, open "System Preferences" on your Mac, click on the icon "Security & Privacy" and check that in "Automation" the boxes related to Signitic are checked.

A second action must be taken on MacOS Catalina, by going to the Full Disk Access tab and adding the following 3 applications: Finder, Terminal and Signitic.

⚠️ Known issues on MacOS

Here you will find a comprehensive list of known issues on Mac if your signature does not update.

Enable Accessibility

If the signature is not updated and/or the loading spins endlessly, open "System Preferences" on your Mac, click on the icon "Security & Privacy" and check that in "Automation" the boxes related to Signitic are checked.

Grant Disk Access

On macOS, by going to the "Full Disk Access" tab and adding the following 3 applications: Finder, Terminal and Signitic.

Whitelist Signitic

If you still cannot retrieve your signature, we invite you to add "signitic.app" to the whitelist of authorized websites on your Antivirus/firewall.
