# How to know if I am using the agent or the add-in?

New versions of Outlook 365 integrate the add-in, while older versions of Office use the agent.

# _I use the agent:_

I have an **older version of Outlook (2013/2016/2019/2021)** the agent is in my taskbar and I downloaded it via: [https://app.signitic.com/download](https://app.signitic.com/download)

# _I use the add-in:_

I have an **Outlook 365**, to check this go to **File -> Office Account** :

If it says **Microsoft Office 365** then you must **use the add-in**.

> **Info:** If your directory is not managed by Microsoft 365 and your users still have Outlook 365, then you will need to install the agent and [modify the registry for this case.](https://support.signitic.com/fr/articles/8224180-utiliser-l-agent-signitic-sur-les-versions-outlook-365.md)
