By default, Gmail stores out-of-office messages in plain text. As a result, when Signitic pushes an HTML signature into the auto-responder, the formatting is lost. Your employees then send out-of-office messages without a visual signature, or with a degraded signature.
Until now, each user had to manually enable "Advanced formatting" in the Gmail settings, a tedious task at company scale.
Signitic now includes an option in the Google Workspace connector that automatically converts out-of-office messages from plain text to rich text (HTML) at the time the signatures are pushed.
Access the Google connector settingsGo to your Signitic administration area, then to the Google Workspace connector settings.
Locate the "Gmail out-of-office rich text" sectionYou will find a new section entitled "Gmail out-of-office rich text"

Select the desired optionTwo options are available to you:
Force rich text for Gmail out-of-office messages (recommended) — Signitic will automatically convert the format of out-of-office messages to rich text with each signature push.
Do not modify the format of Gmail out-of-office messages — The format of the out-of-office message remains as is. If a user has configured their autoresponder in plain text, Signitic will not modify it.
Save your changesClick on Save to apply the change. The option will be taken into account from the next signature push onwards.
No. Signitic only modifies the message format (plain text → rich text). The status of the responder (enabled/disabled) is not affected.
No. Only the format changes. The text written by the user remains identical.
Yes, it applies to all users synchronized via the Google Workspace connector when pushing signatures.
If you use Signitic to manage signatures in out-of-office messages, we recommend enabling the "Force rich text" option to ensure optimal display of your HTML signatures.
