How to know if I am using the agent or the add-in?

New versions of Outlook 365 integrate the add-in, while older versions of Office use the agent.

I use the agent:

I have an older version of Outlook (2013/2016/2019/2021) the agent is in my taskbar and I downloaded it via: https://app.signitic.com/download

I have an Outlook 365, to check this go to File -> Office Account :

If it says Microsoft Office 365 then you must use the add-in.

If your directory is not managed by Microsoft 365 and your users still have Outlook 365, then you will need to install the agent and modify the registry for this case.
